What is Nanoplastia?
Nanoplastia Amino-15 is a semi-permanent hair straightening treatment that is 100% vegan and free from animal-derived ingredients.
Which hair type does Nanoplastia suit?
It’s suitable for all hair types, except for Type 4B and 4C afro-textured hair.
Can I have Nanoplastia if my hair is damaged?
This will depend on the condition of your hair. If there is significant damage, a restorative treatment may be needed before undergoing Nanoplastia.
Will Nanoplastia make my hair fall?
With any straightening treatment such as Brazilian, Nanoplastia, or Japanese permanent straightening some hair shedding may occur over time. This can be due to the cumulative effects of the products used, along with natural hormonal changes in the body.
Can I have Nanoplastia with hair extensions?
No, hair extensions must be removed before the treatment and can be reapplied one week afterward.
Will my hair be very straight?
Initially, yes, it will resemble the results of permanent hair straightening. However, the straightness will gradually reduce over time, depending on your hair type and how well you care for it at home. Keep in mind that new hair growth will always be frizzy or curly, as that’s your natural texture.
Can I get Nanoplastia on coloured hair?
Yes, but I would advise to do so either one week before or one week after the Nanoplastia treatment. Please note that because Nanoplastia is amino acid based, it will alter the tone of your hair colour potentially causing warm shifts such as orange or red hues, depending on your existing shade. Please note that regularly colouring your hair with tint or bleach can affect the longevity of the treatment.
Can I have this treatment if my hair is relaxed or chemically straightened?
Yes, as long as your hair hasn’t been compromised by chemical relaxers or other straightening treatments.
Can I go swimming after having Nanoplastia?
Yes, you can swim after the treatment. However, I recommend applying a protective hair mask—such as Philip Kingsley Swimcap—to shield your hair from salt water, chlorine, and sun exposure.
Can I tie my hair up post-treatment?
Yes, but frequently tying your hair up can create slight kinks or bends in the hair over time.
Can I use any shampoo and conditioner post-treatment?
No, I recommend always using a sulfate-free shampoo to help prolong the results of the treatment, and applying an intensive mask at least once a week to keep your hair hydrated.
Does Nanoplastia contain Formaldehyde?
No, Nanoplastia is plant-based, free from harsh chemicals, dermatologically tested, and registered with the CPNP.
What's Nanoplastia Amino 15 made of?
Nanoplastia uses 15 amino acids, organic minerals, plant oils, peptides, and extracts. Each ingredient is specifically chosen to restore and strengthen hair. 100% Vegan and free from SLS, SLES and parabens.
How long does the process take?
The treatment typically takes 3 to 4 hours, depending on your hair's length and thickness.
Can I have Nanoplastia if I'm pregnant?
Yes, it's completely safe to use during pregnancy; however, I generally don't recommend undergoing any hair treatments while pregnant.
How old do I need to be to have Nanoplastia?
To comply with my liability insurance, I can only perform the treatment on individuals aged 16 and above.
Can I have Nanoplastia done during a home visit?
No, Nanoplastia can only be performed in the salon due to the complexity of the process and the multiple washes required throughout the treatment.
